About the Trust

Chittagong Welfare Trust UK was founded in June 2000, in response to the plight of sick and needy people left helpless and destitute by natural disasters around the world.

We are a small organisation based in London, with a vision of a world in which all communities have equal opportunities to realise their potential, in societies that respect human rights and dignity.

How we work

We make sure the benefits of our work make a tangible difference in the communities we work with. We work in partnership with local organisations and collaborate with them to identify what their own communities actually need, rather than deciding for them from London.

Our trustees are unpaid volunteers, so donations go to the projects themselves.
